Our Terminal
Introduction To Our Terminal
Leading Energy Hub Offering Integrated and High Capacity Solutions for Global Energy Trade
JPUT is one of Asia Pacific’s largest independent energy storage terminals. With a total capacity of 2.33 million m³, 15 jetties (including two VLCC-capable berths) and comprehensive services such as in-house dockmasters and blending capabilities, JPUT is purpose-built to handle high volumes of cargo with exceptional speed and efficiency.
High Performance Operations
JPUT offers a total capacity of 2.33 million m³ across a range of tank sizes from 5,000 to 100,000 m³, catering to diverse storage needs for fuel oil, clean petroleum products and biofuels. Storage is configurable to support customers’ specific storage and trading strategies. The terminal provides services such as inter-tank transfers and product blending via air sparging or mixing. Fully compliant with API 650 standards, JPUT ensures its storage tanks meet industry benchmarks for safety, reliability and structural integrity.
Fast Vessels Turnaround
JPUT is equipped with a total of 15 jetties, including two VLCC berths capable of simultaneously accommodating two fully laden VLCCs and an inner basin with nine barge berths able to accommodate vessels of up to 15,000 DWT. The barge berths are fitted with volumetric flow meters to enhance loading efficiency, offering a superior tank-to-jetty ratio that provides unmatched access for customers while minimising demurrage risk. In addition, our in-house dockmasters and tug boats facilitate efficient, independent berthing and reduce waiting times for barges. These capabilities enable JPUT to handle approximately 500 vessels per month.
Seamless Connectivity
Located on Jurong Island, JPUT is well integrated with Singapore’s energy ecosystem. With pipeline connectivity to Jurong Rock Caverns and Horizon Terminal, the terminal enables seamless, cost-effective inter-terminal transfers, reducing the need for cross-harbour transport and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Its proximity to Singapore’s key bunkering anchorages and Tuas Port provides customers with a strategic advantage to capture key bunkering demand in the region.
Energy Transition Readiness
JPUT is strategically positioned for future energy transition needs. As Singapore’s leading bunkering terminal, we are committed to facilitating the shift to low-carbon marine fuels for the shipping industry through safe and efficient storage and handling. As a key energy infrastructure, JPUT is prepared to support Singapore’s transition as a low-carbon fuel import and handling terminal. With ISCC certification, JPUT has pioneered the storage and handling of biofuel bunkers, leading the industry in sustainable marine fuel solutions.
